Clan of Xymox

Clan of Xymox have spent more than forty years at the center of darkwave and gothic rock, from their 1985 self-titled debut and Medusa a year later to the recent Exodus, which drew strong notices abroad. The Dutch band return to Athens after a sold-out show, back at Black Temple for one night with a support act still to be named. What you get is the atmospheric, melancholic, dark sound they helped define, from a group still writing new material rather than trading on the back catalogue. For anyone who follows the darker side of post-punk, it is a rare visit.
