BUZZ KULL Live in Athens at Death Disco

Buzz Kull represent a distinctive presence in contemporary Australian underground music. They blend post-punk, coldwave, EBM and minimal wave into a dark, existentially charged sound. The band's compositions employ pulsing synthesizers, relentless drum machines and haunting vocals to explore the depths of human experience. Their work addresses inner conflicts and philosophical questions that define modern existence. This Death Disco event marks the season opening, dedicated to darkwave and post-punk expression with the characteristic dark energy that has established Buzz Kull internationally.

IAMX live at Death Disco

IAMX is Chris Corner's project, running since 2004 on a mix of darkwave, synthpop, industrial and electronics tied to confessional, first-person lyrics. The tracks people come for, 'I Come With Knives', 'The Alternative', 'Spit It Out', 'Bernadette' and 'Stardust', have become fixtures of the dark electronic scene. On stage the show turns theatrical and physical, built as an audiovisual performance rather than a straight set of songs. This Athens appearance follows a long run of European touring and takes place at Death Disco in Psyrri, the kind of night that has earned IAMX a devoted following abroad.

Young Bros: K-Pop Fantasy Night

Young Bros bring their K-Pop Fantasy Night to Death Disco, a night handed over entirely to Korean pop and everything adjacent to it. DJ GeunYoung travels in from Seoul to run the floor, moving through K-Pop, K-EDM and K-Hiphop from just before midnight until six in the morning. The idea is simple: the tracks most people only stream, played loud and in sequence for a full night out. Entry is 18 and over. If Korean pop has worked its way onto your rotation and you want to hear it properly out, this is the Friday for it.

Light Asylum (US) with Automelodi (CAN) live in Athens

Death Disco brings Light Asylum back to Athens, the US project built around Shannon Funchess, whose sound moves between darkwave, industrial, synth-punk and EBM. Their single 'Dark Allies' remains the reference point, but the live set is the reason people show up: Funchess out front, working through songs about alienation, power and resistance. Opening is Automelodi, the Canadian minimal synth and coldwave act led by Xavier Paradis, who leans on early-80s European electronics, analog synthesizers and sequencers. Two acts from the darker end of the synth spectrum, sharing one bill in Psyrri.

MAZOHA LIVE DEATH DISCO 2.10

MAZOHA presents an autumn edition of this established live performance series at Death Disco. Recognized for consistency within independent Greek music production, the artist brings multiple guest performers and newly created material to the stage. The program features electronic and darkwave musical forms. Several collaborating artists support the primary performance. New compositions and works form a substantial part of the evening's program. This continuing series demonstrates MAZOHA's ongoing artistic presence.

Corpus Delicti (FR) Live in Athens

Corpus Delicti formed in mid-90s France and built a reputation across Europe's post-punk and gothic rock scene, drawing on death rock and goth. They return to Death Disco almost a year after playing the venue's open air festival, this time with a new album, Liminal, in hand. The set leans on dark guitar riffs and expressive vocals, the elements that have carried the band since the 90s. For anyone who follows the darker end of European guitar music, it is a chance to hear one of its longer-running names up close.

Terminal Serious & The Man & His Failures

Florence's Terminal Serious have never played Greece before, and they arrive at Death Disco behind Tear You Away, the third album they released in 2025 on Swiss Dark Nights. Their sound is darkwave built from post-punk, goth and electro, with the newer record leaning harder on analog synths. Opening are The Man & His Failures, one of the more active bands in the Greek dark scene, whose Survival Kit came out on Geheimnis Records and works EBM and industrial into the post-punk. They have recently shared bills with She Past Away and Front 242. Two current darkwave records, one night, back to back.

Echoberyl (FR) Live in Athens

Death Disco brings Echoberyl to Greece for the first time, a Paris duo working the newer end of European darkwave and synthpop. Cécile G. handles vocals and analog synthesizers, Adrian H. the compositions, and the sound sits between dark synthpop, cold wave and minimal electronics. Their releases have drawn strong reviews from the international music press, and the set pulls from across their catalogue plus recent material. Athens post-punk act Midnight Poetry opens. One for anyone who follows Boy Harsher, Lebanon Hanover, Minuit Machine or Selofan, or wants to hear where European darkwave is heading.

David J (Bauhaus / Love and Rockets) with Paul Wallfisch

David J helped write the rulebook for goth. A founding member of Bauhaus, he authored the lyrics to 'Bela Lugosi's Dead', the nine-minute song most people name when they argue about where the genre starts. He then co-founded Love and Rockets, who crossed over with the hit 'So Alive'. Twelve solo albums and a memoir on, he comes to Death Disco to play across the whole run: Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, his own records. Paul Wallfisch, formerly of Swans and a collaborator of Mick Harvey and Amanda Palmer, joins him on piano.

David J, founding member of post-punk acts Bauhaus and Love And Rockets, appears at Death Disco featuring music from his band and solo career. His solo work includes twelve albums, poetry collections, and an autobiography. Bauhaus created landmark works including 'Bela Lugosi's Dead'. Paul Wallfisch, known for work with Swans and collaborations with Amanda Palmer, Mick Harvey and others, joins as special guest. Wallfisch is a pianist, composer, and vocalist. The evening spans material across David J's post-punk and alternative career.
