ΜΕΓΑΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ

A spectacular theatrical production about Alexander the Great will be presented at Christmas Theater in October 2026. Directed and written by Carmen Rougeri, the production begins with Philip II's marriage to Olympias and spans the Macedonian king's life through his death in Babylon at age 33. The narrative encompasses key moments including Alexander's childhood education by Aristotle, the Battle of Chaeroneia at age 18, his military campaigns across Asia, and his marriage to Roxana. Major scenes include Alexander taming the horse Bucephalus as a boy and encounters with Diogenes. The production features elaborate sets and costumes. Twenty actors perform dances, songs, and traditional Macedonian and Epirotan music throughout the evening.
