Tempers, the electronic project of Jasmine Golestaneh, arrives in Athens for an evening immersed in synth-pop, post-punk, and electronic melancholy. Golestaneh ranks among New York's most distinctive contemporary underground electronic and alternative figures, transforming synth-pop into something simultaneously sensory, dark, and threatening. The new album Delusion, produced by Golestaneh and Jorge Elbrecht, extends this vision further. Across ten tracks, Golestaneh explores the boundary between self-invention and self-erasure, desire and delusion, escape and the attempt to return to reality. The album moves unpredictably from synth-pop to techno, incorporating grunge and metal references alongside sprawling, near-epic ballads. Visual collaborations with artists such as Camille Henrot and Sandra Mujinga extend the project beyond music alone.
