Rome's Shores of Null have spent a decade folding black metal aggression into gothic-doom, with neither side sounding out of place. Clean singing trades off against growls, under the layered vocal harmonies that became their signature. Their fourth album, The Loss of Beauty, landed among 2023's stronger metal releases and took them across Europe with Swallow the Sun, Draconian and Avatarium, plus festival slots at Hellfest and 70000 Tons of Metal.
